Neighborhood Prayer Walk

Let’s join together to prayer walk our neighborhoods!  We are asking that each member of Whitesburg walk through their neighborhood and pray.  This can be done individually or as a small group. Take some Christmas invite cards, and share them with people as you go.  If you need a little more information, please keep reading!

What is a Prayer Walk? 

Prayer walking is simply praying for the needs, situations, and places the Lord has put on your heart in a specific location.  While prayer walking cannot be found distinctly in the Bible, Paul does tell us in 1 Thessalonians 5:16 that we should “pray continually.”  We should be driven to pray at all times as we walk with the Lord.   

What should I pray for?

Pray for God to move in your neighborhood!  Pray for the salvation of your neighbors.  Pray for divine appointments to share the gospel with neighbors.  Pray for the healing of sick neighbors.  Pray for the Lord to show you how you can help your neighbors- whether it be spiritual help like prayer, encouragement, or a church invite, or physical help such as driving them to appointments, helping with yard work, etc.

When do I prayer walk?

Anytime during the week of November 17-24. 

Do I have to walk my whole neighborhood?  

No. Start with your street and move out from there.
